Emens Auditorium is in the Ball State University situated in the Muncie, the state of Indiana. It is used for University events, Broadway shows and plays, in addition to main events appearing in eastern region of the state of Indiana. The facility that was opened in 1964 has a capacity is of about 3,581. The opening of the auditorium was marked by the performance of Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians.

Emens Auditorium 1800 West Riverside Avenue, Muncie, IN, 47306

The building of the auditorium has cost at the time of 1964 ,975,000. And the facility’s Architect was Walter Scholar. Though the facility is just called Emens Auditorium, but its official name is John R. Emens College-Community Auditorium. To raise funds for the building of the auditorium, charity started in 1960 and in 4 years it exceeded the 1.5 Million amounts by ,532.

The auditorium’s name comes from the school’s president John R. Emens. To pay tribute for those who have donated and supported in the building of the facility, a number of plaques of remembrance are found on pillars and walls in the courtyard entrance of the auditorium. In honor of John R. Emens, the lounge found in the 2nd floor of the auditorium named after his wife Aline Brainerd.

Different events have been taken place in the auditorium and several big artists have performed there including for instance Chris Botti, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Bob Dylan, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and a lot more. The auditorium have also hosted different other events including some political events, and several figures have spoken in there such as the Presidents Ford, and Jimmy Carter and a lot of public figures.
